            News update:

Sevilla defender Antonio Puerta died Tuesday, August 28th. He was 22.
Puerta, whose girlfriend is pregnant, had been a member of the Sevilla first team for three seasons and spent 14 years in total with the Andalusian club he joined as a boy. He was capped by Spain in October.

Entire footballing world stands still for losing one of its own. R.I.P Puerta!
The Spain international collapsed on the field after suffering a cardiac arrest during Saturday's Primera Liga game against Getafe.

This is a recount of what happened exactly.

After going to the club house..he had a heart attack, based on the news."The patient, Antonio Puerta, continues to be in the intensive care unit under sedation, connected to a ventilating machine and with hemodynamic instability," according to the latest report, issued by the Hospital Virgen del Rocio on Sunday.

The first medical statement on Saturday said the player's condition was "very serious."

My thoughts go to him,his family, and the club. This is a serious situation to any player of any team.
