            I had to drink the end-products of some of this stuff - airag (an alcoholic drink made from fermented mare's milk), mare's cheese, and some little chewy things made from mare's milk and flour.

Airag has a vile flavour, but you get over it after a while. As for the rest... I couldn't eat and drink it every day.

The noises the women make stimulate the horse to release more milk, which is what the young horse is there for too.
